Employers
In
the past Career Education Teachers were given time to contact employers and
place students under 18 years old in jobs. This is no longer the case. Every year
some of our students seek part time or summer work, but they are left to their
own resources to find a job. I firmly believe in the proverb that it takes the
entire village to educate a child.
Our
program at Northeast Career Center uses the CISCO IT Essentials 1 curriculum to
prepare students for jobs at the entry level in PC repair. Some of our students
take additional coursework to prepare for college while others seek employment
after high school.
As
a Career Education Teacher, I am looking for employers who would be willing to
give an internship, part-time or summer job to our career center students.
Please contact me if you are an employer who would like to consider one of our
NECC students for an internship or employment opportunity.
Thank
You,
Mike Rehner
